What if some aliens come into our world? What if they want to control us? And what if they take over our body and our planet?
Imagine yourself being unable to control one of your body parts. It will be very frustrating right? Because you have a brain and you must be able to control each part of your body at will. But that is what happened to Shinichi Izumi, a Japanese teen, when a shower of glowing space orbs falls around in Tokyo. There, came some gross, brain-seeking earworms that were looking for human hosts. Fortunately, one of these creepy crawlers that went straight for Shinichi's ear was thwarted by his earphones, so it went for his nostrils. Just in time, he awakens and threw the parasite away from him. Still, it was able to enter his body through his right hand, so he applied a tourniquet to prevent from moving any farther.
Parasyte is the type of movie that you would judge to be a total gross, because rare are the people who's fond of parasytes. But as you go along the movie, you'll find it very interesting because the story is somehow unique and there's a lot for the viewers to discover from it. Also, for those who are a fan adventure/action movies like me, it will be a good recommendation. It is action-filled with drama and comedy.
The next day after the parasite entered his right hand, it showed impulses. One example is when it groped the girl in school he has a crush on. Then, his right hand started to change its shape, it even talks and move according to its will! Overnight, it even studies more about human world, human activities, and human language. He soon learned that neither of them can live when the other dies, so they had a buddy-like relationship. Before I forget, the right hand's name is Migi. It protects Shinichi from the danger provided by its comrades around them. Everyday, people were shown to be feasted upon by the parasyte-controlled human beings.
Another alien has taken control of Shinichi's Chemistry teacher, Ryoko Tamiya, but instead of posing a predictable threat to the students, she approaches her identity as a form of experiment. She's intrigued by the way Migi manages to coexist with his human and serves as a go-between for Shinichi and the parasites. Even Shinichi's mother became one of the victims but unlike the others, she was not totally killed but became the new host for one of the parasite. Shinichi got almost killed, but then Migi shared some of his parts to repair him. The killing went on until one of its comrades killed hundreds of students at school. His girl friend was even at risk, the good thing is that he came just in time to rescue her, revealing his secret about Migi to her. He followed the killer and was able to kill it by the use of his new skill in archery. But, he is left with one more known enemy. The one who used his mother's body as a new host. Unfortunately, Migi cannot contain its drowsiness because it is the time for him to sleep, so it just transformed into a weapon. And because some part of Migi already became a part of Shinichi, he changed in some ways incluing having some battle reflexes. He was able to beat this enemy through his new abilities. But, this is not the end of it. There are still a lot of parasites out there in his world, and they are ready to conquer the humanity. This movie may be considered brilliant or awesome not only because it is action-filled, but also because of some messages that it want to convey to the viewers. A mother will always be a mother. no matter what happens, a mother will always fulfill her duty as a mother not because it is required, but because it is what she wanted and because of her love for her child. She is going to do whatever she thinks is good for her children. Two of the most important things in this world are your families and friends. They are the ones who's going to be there for you no matter what. Use your time wisely. It will be better if you're going to spend it on things that really matter the most. Make the best out of your life. Lastly, do all the best you can to help other people. Show you care by being always there for them. Sacrifice yourself for the good of the others. Know your priorities.
