A Letter To My Future Friend

To all who would consider having a new friend,

Knowing people, their personalities, and stuff about them is like opening a wrapped gift-you don’t know what’s inside but you still tend to open it for no exact reason. Now I want you to become a victim of mine. Here’s a gift for you, open it up and you’ll know what’s in me, ignore this and your curiosity will haunt you down.

How much do you know about your family? Your friends?
How much do you know about me?
I’m pretty sure you know just a tiny bit of information about me. That’s normal. Just read and you’ll go beyond that.

                For starters….

How much do you know about me? Obviously, by this time, you don’t have any idea on who I am. To start with, my name is Shenelae Loreece Dailo Raton, a first year college student from APC. If you really wanted to know more about me aside from my whole name, I’m going to be honest with you that I don’t know all of the things about me. So, I’m going to introduce myself to you from my own perspective, assuring you that all of the remaining things that I’m going to tell you are all facts.

I’m a typical teenage girl trying to cope up with things you could have gone through. Also, expect those typical, usual events have already happened in my life. My life is very simple, follows an everyday routine, and not full of adventures unlike the others’ (I guess). I have a nuclear type of family wherein there are parents, and children. As you may want to know, my father was christened as Semanrey and he used to work as a Chief Mechanic at PHILCOX, and my mother, who was named Lorena, sells beauty products and things such as clothes and accessories for AVON, MSE, Natasha, and Tupperware. I used to get along with my siblings as well-Ma. Erin Daphne D. Raton and Boris Ezekiel D. Raton, as my own parents named them.
Every new acquaintances of mine wish to know my educational background. If you also wish for me to do so, I’ll grant you that. I graduated grade school at Holy Spirit Christian Learning Centre, an elementary school in Taguig City, and high school at Sen. Renato Companero Cayetano Memorial Science and Technology High School, another one from the same city. Now, I’m studying BS Electronics Engineering at Asia Pacific College, as I’ve said earlier, as a first year college student. I’m just an average student, the type of student who was kept unnoticed by her teachers until fate has allowed that to come to life but, I performed well in my previous school and even at my present school. I don’t usually get discouraged by teachers not noticing me.

The next thing you might want to know about me, is whether I have a sport or not. Well, I’m sporty only in my dreams. I used to like soccer and basketball since I was a kid but, if I’ll be given a chance, I would play these two sports. What’s next? My hobbies. Whenever I’m bored or exhausted, or whenever I’m not busy doing academic activities, I just sit down, stare at the blankness of the world that only exists in my weary mind and draw, watch movies, or even read novels. Whatever’s possible. I’m a huge fan of Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. Don’t go skeptic right there. I know some people would say that you can’t be a fan to both of them, but here I am existing! Likewise, I’m fond of novels which talk about  actions, adventures, and death as you can notice from

the novels that I’ve read, such as Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and the Olympians(as I’ve told you earlier), Divergent, Hunger Games, and Perks of Being a Wallflower. Songs? I love music. I am used to listening to songs that really touch my heart and I admire people who are really good in singing. Someday, I want to sing like them. Or better, sing with them.

To sum up all that I’ve said, I’m just an average person living a not-so-extraordinary life. It does matter to me whether you’re going to like me or not. I want you to accept me as who I really am. These facts will not be able to define who I really am, these are only a preview of who I might be, but I’m hoping that you’ll like me when you’ll meet me. And when that day comes about, I’m excited to know you as well as I’ve told you about me.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Love always,
Shen
